Dana Hyde

Coach Hyde began her softball career by pitching her team to two Canadian championships. During that time she also played for Compuware Fastpitch (Canton, MI.) helping her team win two state and regional championships to then qualify for the national championships in California. She earned herself a Softball scholarship at Gulf Coast State College, in Panama City, Florida, where she was awarded MVP-All Hustle Team. In 1995 She was selected to the Canadian Junior Olympic team under Coach Shan McDonald (former UNLV Head Coach) where she helped her team earn 5th place in the world championships in Normal, Illinois.  She received an invite to the Canadian Olympic team. 

Coach Hyde has been coaching for over 7 years, she has coached various National programs in Michigan and now with Indiana Magic Gold National Team.

Coach Hyde was the pitching coach for Lawrence Technological University Softball program during the 2017-2018 season.

In 2021 Coach Hyde was also inducted into the Windsor Fastpitch Hall of Fame. Coach Hyde believes in having a positive mindset and 3 key factors to be successful “Ability, Motivation and Determination.”

Coach John Kanakry has over 17 years coaching and instruction experience. He has led Regional and National teams to success with Team Michigan, Turnin2 and Michigan Batbusters. Coach Kanakry works with players at all skill levels ranging from developing beginners to current college athletes. He prides himself on not only teaching sound fundamentals and mechanics at the plate and in the field, but also addresses the mental approach to fastpitch that is many times the root of a player’s struggle. Kanakry teaches a player how focus on the things they can control “effort, attitude and attention to detail” and mentors them in the common struggles of interpersonal relationships, social struggle, confidence and the pathway to college recruiting. John is supported by his wonderful wife of 25 years and 2 awesome girls who found success in college athletics and life!!

Haley Ullrich
Hello, my name is Haley Ullrich, and I am a recent graduate and 2 sport varsity athlete from Alma College. In my 4 years at Alma, I played softball and volleyball as well as graduated with a degree in professional accounting. Now that I have graduated, I would love to continue giving back to younger girls and offer pitching lessons to all ages. In college I had 6 different pitches and was averaging between 63-67mph depending on the pitch. Some things about me and my softball career, in my senior year at Alma I was an All-American pitcher/hitter, first team All-Region, first team All-MIAA, NFCA Top 25 Pitcher & Hitter of the year, and NCAA statistical Champion for the greatest number of times being walked in a season (40). In my Senior season I led the conference in strikeouts (167), wins (16), had a 2.00 ERA, started in 23 games pitching, homeruns (13), batting average (.446), Slugging Percentage (.909), and on base percentage (.580). In my Junior year I had 163 strikeouts, ERA (1.60), homeruns (5), batting average (.435), First team All-MIAA, and MIAA Most Valuable Pitcher. Hansan Karmin

Coach Karmin has over 10 years experience coaching travel baseball and is a former high school and summer collegiate coach. He has worked at All Fields Hitting Academy and is certified through Driveline Baseball. In addition, he is a regional baseball scout with Baseball Factory, a college scout and a recruiting consultant.

Dytarious “Digz” Edwards

Coach Digz has 8 years of professional baseball experience. He serves as a hitting and fielding coach at University Liggett High School. President of the Detroit Rangers Baseball Organization and is the head coach of the 14 and 16U teams. Coach Digz is a personal trainer for hitting, fielding, speed and agility.
